A lovely and unusual thread spool from France. A beautiful piece mounted on marble with lovely wooden details.
The spool is now mounted with some jewelry thread but you could change this to use what you want. It has a blade on one end to cut the thread, the blade is tired and rusty but still work. And it is very easy to change by just unscrewing it and placing a new one! A lovely decorative piece but also extremely useful!
