Antique Tooth Paste Pot & Soap ~ SOLD
Antique stoneware tooth paste pot (lid & base) circa 1890 - 1910. This advertising pot was a very early type of toothpaste used in England, manufactured by the chemist W. Woods, Plymouth.
The pot and lid have surface markings commensurate with age. There are a few browner areas, but this is mostly contained to under the lid, so not that noticeable. Slight crazing present and a small hairline crack on the underside of the base. This does not affect the pot at all and it is a very sturdy little piece.
The detailed transfer is in particularly good condition for its age, with the lettering still very clear.
Perfect for a vintage bathroom. Completely adorable, and very collectable!
This piece has been teamed with a gorgeous handmade Goats Milk, Lavender & Honey soap from Queen Bee, made locally in Melbourne using 100% extra virgin olive oil (no palm oil) and essential oils.
Pot measures 4cm tall, soap 130g
