French Antique Faisselle Dish
A rare, large antique faisselle dish from France, 19th century.
Originally used in the cheese making process, it would make a lovely dish for fruit or other vegetables, a lovely soap dish, or a beautiful display piece alongside other stoneware.
In good condition for its age. Some marks from ageing, such as colour variations but this only adds to the charm of the dish. Hand made, this lovely dish shows some imperfections but it doesn't affect the beauty or the solidity of this lovely rustic piece.
Found in a brocante in Normandy.
Measures 22cm diameter x 4.5 cm high.
