After more than five years selling vintage homewares, recently I made the decision to move onto something new. It’s been a great experience, always fun and has allowed me to fit work around caring for my two young boys. Now they are both off at school however, it’s time for a new challenge.
I didn’t really want My French Finds to disappear, though, so it was wonderful to meet Aurélie of La Petite Brocante via Instagram. Aurélie was ready to expand her existing brocante business based in Queensland, and after some discussion, Aurélie will be taking over the My French Finds website and the online shop! So all items in the online shop will be available from mid-October, after a handover period.
Aurélie, as her beautiful name suggests, is French! She has lived in Australia for six years, and travels back regularly to visit family in France. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect fit for My French Finds! Brocante will continue to be hand-picked, as Aurélie will be visiting markets and vide-greniers herself.
She will also no doubt have many stories of her travels and market visits to share with you.
Aurélie has also opened a shop within the Woolloongabba Antique Centre in Brisbane, so if you are living in Brisbane or visiting there, drop in to view her French brocante in person.
Please bear with us while I handover everything to Aurélie in the next couple of weeks. From mid-October, the shop will re-open as normal. You can continue to follow @myfrenchfinds on Instagram and Facebook to view latest stock.
I’m taking a short break in the warmer months here, before a new endeavour. Thanks again for all your support. I’m proud to have started a business with filled with creative passion that will continue on.
